Exposition organisée par Stéphane MROCZKOWSKI et Alexandra PIGNOL, dans le cadre de l'événement « 6PM Your Local Time Europe », avec le soutien de l'ACCRA, de la Faculté des Arts (université de Strasbourg), de l'ESPE de Strasbourg et de l'EA 7309 AMUP (ENSAS).
Alexandra Pignol et Stéphane Mroczkowski souhaitent présenter un projet de groupe de travail à dimensions variables, entre art et document (à partir de cartes, documents photographiques, archives, témoignages, etc.) sur le thème de la ville comme expérience sensible, par le vécu, mais aussi par le document sur la ville. Il s'agit d'un projet collaboratif entre artistes, étudiants, chercheurs, au niveau local et en lien avec des personnalités choisies pour leur implication dans des projets sur la ville. Les personnalités invitées sont : Olivier Calvo (artiste, enseignant) ; Sylvain Mazars (musicien, historien, journaliste) ; Mathilde Blum et Dimitri Pagnier (étudiants en Master, Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Strasbourg) ; Hector Bouhier (étudiant en Master, enseignant en arts visuels, Université de Strasbourg); Michael Corris (artiste, critique, enseignant, Université de Dallas, USA); Stalker Group (Francesco Carreri, fondateur, Université de Rome, Italie); David Diao (artiste, NYC); Irwin group (cf. EAST ART MAP (web)); Cristiana Mazzoni (architecte, urbaniste à Paris / Strasbourg).
Collecter, imprimer, relier, présenter, afficher : des documents variés (actuels, passés, d'univers différents) seront présentés sur de larges tables de travail (80x220cm). Ces documents seront des cartes, des livres, des dépliants, des affiches, des inventaires très variés, incomplets, décousus, non exhaustifs, mais aussi des collages, des gravures, des imprimés en général, classiques, expérimentaux... en lien avec l'histoire des villes (et notamment Strasbourg),en lien avec des mises en perspective entre passé, présent et avenir (en images, textes, et en documents).
Alexandra and Stéphane want to make «6 pm» the occasion to present a group work between art and document (publications, conferences, workshops, discussions, websites…) about the city as sensible experience and city as experienced through its documents (maps, photos, story, archives…). They want to present, to discuss, to question, to spread, to set into images, to compare different mediums and documents from artists who worked with the function and position of the artist in the city, and to question it at a local scale (Strasbourg). The personalities invited are: Olivier Calvo (artist, teacher); Sylvain Mazars (musician, historian, journalist); Mathilde Blum et Dimitri Pagnier (students Master degree, Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Strasbourg) ; Hector Bouhier (student Master degree, teaching visual arts, University of Strasbourg); Michael Corris (artist, critic, teacher, University of Dallas, USA); Group Stalker (Francesco Carreri, founder, University of Rome, Italy); David Diao (artist, NYC); Irwin group (see EAST ART MAP (web)); Cristiana Mazzoni (architect, urbanist in Paris / Strasbourg).
Collect, print, bound, present, show, display: documents (from present, past, and from different disciplines) will be presented on a group of large working tables (80x220cm) loosely. These documents will be maps, books, brochures, posters, various inventories, incomplete, unmethodical, non exhaustive, in variable dimensions, with a link to the city history, and wth links between past, present and future (with images, texts, and documents).
« 6 PM YOUR LOCAL TIME (6PM YLT) » is a networked, distributed, one night contemporary art event taking place simultaneously in diferent locations, coordinated from one central venue and documented online via a web application. The locations (institutions, non-profit spaces, commercial galleries, artist's studios) will address their local audience and, through the dedicated web platform, a global audience. While visiting your local 6PM YLT event(s) will allow you to experience a single portion first hand, the only way to have a picture of the project as a whole will be to access its online documentation: all exhibits will be documented and shared in real time by organizers and audience on the dedicated web platform, thanks to a web application aggregating content from different social platforms.
The Link Art Center, Abandon Normal Devices and Gummy Industries are now organizing a massive 6PM Your Local Time event, that will take place all over Europe on July 22, 2015. The event will involve more than 200 artists, galleries and institutions located all over Europe, from Portugal to Russia, and in four different time zones. The organizers will orchestrate the entire event from the fascinating location provided by the Castello di Brescia in Brescia (ltaly). An outdoor installation will be set up, delivering the live feed provided by the participants to the large audience expected for the first day of the festival MusicalZOO, that will host the presentation.
